"A book loves anyone who opens it."

Raison d'etre.
Reason for being.
If the book cannot be allowed to serve it's purpose, it will be sad.
It will be neglected.
Without that purpose, it cannot feel whole.
It is still acknowledged, and thus still exists as a physical being in itself, but even if that is the case, it must have a reason for existing.
And if this purpose can be fulfilled, the book has served its term.
It has no other need other than to be read.

There is always a raison d'etre.

There is always a reason.

"A tree falls down in a forest. If there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

No. Absolutely not.
If the tree is alone, it does not exist.
If the tree cannot be seen or smelled or touched or heard, then it is not there at all.
This is the feeling of loneliness.
When we are alone, we do not exist. No one is there to perceive us. No one is there to acknowledge our sole existence.

That is the rule of the tree.

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."

What if there is nothing that I want to change? Does that mean that I must be nothing? And in being nothing, is anything changed as I do not exist any more? And if things are still changing even though I have reduced myself to being the nonexistent change that I wish to see.... well then,

what was the point?
